About the trend
What is the Tiny Desk trend?
Tiny Desk began as NPR Music's long-running concert series, where artists squeeze a whole band behind an office desk and play a stripped-back set with no stage and no light show. The look stuck: everyone in headphones, a small keyboard up front, and a wall of shelves crammed with records, books, mugs and keepsakes behind them.
Online, that setup has become shorthand for an intimate, joyful live session, and people love recreating it with friends. It is recognizable in a second, even on mute, and it is made for a group: the edit cuts from the whole band to a singer's close-up to a quick solo, so everyone gets a moment.
The hard part is the set. A real desk session needs the room, the instruments, matching headphones, someone behind the camera and everyone free on the same afternoon. Our template skips all of that. Upload up to three photos: you sing lead behind the keyboard, a friend takes the sax solo and another throws a fist in the air for the finale. With one photo, the rest of the band is cast for you. It is a fan-made take on the format; ClipsRemake isn't affiliated with NPR.

FAQ
Tiny Desk AI Video questions, answered
Yes. One photo makes you the lead singer, front and center at the keyboard and in the big close-up. The saxophonist and the backup singer are then played by musicians who don't look like you. Add a second or third photo to put your friends in those spots.
Photo 1 is the lead vocalist at the red keyboard and gets the close-up mid-song. Photo 2 sings at the back left and then takes the saxophone solo. Photo 3 sings and dances at the back right and throws a fist in the air in the final shot.
No. You only upload photos; the singing, the playing and the camera cuts are generated for you. The finished video has the template's soundtrack mixed in, and mouths move with the rhythm of the performance, though it isn't word-for-word lip sync.
No. ClipsRemake is a fan-made take on the Tiny Desk format and isn't affiliated with NPR. The desk, the shelves and the band are generated from our template; no real Tiny Desk performance or artist appears in your video.
Fast renders the 15-second highlight, from the opening band shot through the finale, at 480p or 720p, and costs the fewest credits. Premium renders the full 17-second video at up to 1080p. Both use the same photos, and the studio shows the exact price before you generate.
The video follows your photo, not the original performers: glasses, hair length and color, and facial hair come from the picture you upload. Everyone in the band also wears over-ear headphones, because that's part of the Tiny Desk look.
Only if they've agreed to appear. Each photo gets a quick review first; photos of celebrities, public figures or minors are rejected and your credits are returned. Uploaded photos are deleted 30 days after the video is made, and the video stays private in your account.
Yes. The download is a vertical 9:16 MP4 with the soundtrack already mixed in. If you'd rather use a sound from TikTok's or Instagram's own library, switch the music off before downloading and add the sound when you post.
