Cookie Policy

What ClipsRemake stores in your browser, why, and how to switch it off.

What this page covers

Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser. We also keep a few things in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB. This page lists all of it and what it's for; our Privacy Policy covers personal data more broadly.

What the site can't run without

A sign-in cookie keeps you signed in. A language cookie and a theme setting remember your choices. A random device ID, stored in a cookie and in local storage, helps us stop people abusing sign-ups and free credits.

You can't turn these off on the site. Blocking them in your browser signs you out or resets your settings.

Stored only on your device

When you sign in or head to checkout, the photos you picked are saved in your browser (IndexedDB) so they're waiting when you return, then cleared once used. We also note a checkout in progress so we can confirm it later, plus small settings like whether you muted the soundtrack.

All of this stays in your browser and is never used for ads.

Analytics

When analytics is on, we use it to count visits and see which pages and steps work; the analytics provider may set its own cookies, such as Google Analytics' _ga. We also keep, in local storage, the page that first brought you here and the template you used last, so a purchase is credited to the right page.

Analytics never gets your photos or videos.

Payments

Checkout runs on our payment provider's own pages, where it sets its own cookies to process payments and stop fraud. Its privacy policy explains the details.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies and site data from your browser settings whenever you want. Blocking analytics cookies changes nothing on the site; blocking the sign-in cookie signs you out.
